To Cut A Long Story Short … I had the pleasure of visiting Harvey Leigh’s twice this week. The first time it was just for coffee and wow that java was silky smooth and strong. Just the way I like it.
The second time I realised that they were serving Crepes so it was a foregone conclusion that those French pancakes would be my breakfast.
Stewed apple made up the filling and was adorned with some calvados cream, a bit decadent for early morning but who’s complaining. Absolutely delicious and nice to see a dedicated crepe chef in place.
The venue formerly housed Beaufort Local but now looks like a rustic French farmhouse kitchen which I found charming.
I was really excited about this visit and to try those crepes and it all turned out well because everything was near perfect.
Oh, and the name Harvey Leigh is the owner’s youngest child. Seems he didn’t get enough attention as Dad was busy getting his new business up and running. A touching gesture indeed.
A very pleasant experience.
