North Beach Deli (Formerly Soda Cafe), 251 West Coast Drive, North Beach WA 6020, Phone 9448 7472.

True Colours … North Beach Deli opened on 1st August. The revamped / rebranded Soda Café is virtually unrecognisable. The light and airy venue, with an enhanced view over North Beach, has the same owners but a different vibe. Love the Pastel Colours and the new Brand.

Upstairs Downstairs … UPSTAIRS. Love Brookfield Place in the CBD and decided to have a coffee in the Foyer of the BHP Billiton Building. The coffee was stamped with a Small Print logo and that was most noteworthy because that venue is in the Basement downstairs.

Bakery and Butchery … Had heard good things about the Flour Factory so we decided to visit. Must say the building is really impressive and it is surrounded by impressive buildings. Queen Street architecture is actually really something. I haven’t walked down the street for a while and felt a renewed sense of old Perth.

Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now … I’m sure even Morrissey would have had a few words to say about this meal. In his eloquent fashion he possibly would have likened it to a vaudevillian melodrama. Me? I’m just going to tell the truth.
