Brunch @ Cantina 663, 663 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley, Phone 9370 4883.
All Tomorrow’s Parties … This lyric made me think about the plate of food put in front of me. Celebratory times call for extraordinary food and these victuals were no exception.
Gnocchi @ Cantina 663, Astor Arcade, 663 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley, Phone 9370 4883,
Happy Birthday … It’s not my birthday by the way, but it sure feels like it could be. Why? Because I’m finally eating gnocchi at Cantina 663.
Smoked Cod Cake @ Blacksmith Perth, 460 Beaufort Street, Highgate, Phone 6113 8684.
I Have My Memories … The best thing about devising a review is that you will always have the memory of the food you’ve eaten. Mostly, that is a good thing.
Potato Rosti @ Trio Cafe & Wine Bar, 12 / 760 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley, Phone 9271 4089.
Second Hand Sentences … Not too many of those around here. Just to let you know I missed dinner last night and was more than happy to be at Trio for a very early breakfast.
Measure Dessert Bar, 642 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley, Phone 0457 552 245.
One Step Beyond … Or, above and beyond, say it anyway you like. Measure offers class and sophistication to both food and atmosphere.
Gado Gado @ Chinta Cafe, 29 Scarborough Beach Road, North Perth, Phone 9444 7939.
Never Stop Living Here … Chinta Café has a welcoming feel to it and the decorations are amazing. And, now that they’ve moved into the High Tea area the atmosphere seems to be on steroids.
Fiorentina, 44 Angove Street, North Perth, Phone 9328 7442.
Even An End Has a Start … It’s been a long time since I visited Fiorentina and I was blown away by the patisserie items in the display cabinet. How soon we forget.
Angove Kitchen & Espresso Bar, 36 Angove Street, North Perth, Phone 6111 2822.
You Could Take The Bitter Pill … But why would you when you can go to Angove Kitchen for breakfast? Now occupying the space formerly graced by Locale. A sad adieu.
Harvey Leigh’s Public House, 484 Beaufort Street, HIghgate, Phone 0450 322 878.
To Cut A Long Story Short … I had the pleasure of visiting Harvey Leigh’s twice this week. The first time it was just for coffee and wow that java was silky smooth and strong. Just the way I like it.
Acai Brothers, 228 Carr Street, Leederville, Phone 0419 040 070.
Simply The Best … Finally, a café dedicated to ACAI and raw food in general. The venue itself is adorable with plants and the distressed cement floor. Clean lines and sleekness abound.
