Mexican Brunch … el PUBLICO is a stalwart member of the Highgate eateries. The venue has been around since the rebirth of the small bar scene in Perth, Circa 2013. Their new twist is to offer Brunch on the Weekends and let me tell you, it’s worth a visit.

Serious Ramen Business … Ramen Lab recently opened on Beaufort Street. It is one of a limited number of places in Perth that make their own noodles in house. Xena and I zoomed off to test the waters.

Java Good Day … Sorry couldn’t resist the awful pun. Queens Birthday weekend and Nexus had queues of people lining up for their coffee. It was surprising to see so many people at this Hole In The Wall venue. Just because there’s not a lot of seating.

Corner Store … Came across Mt Etna Café Pizzeria in Highgate by accident. I’d been trying to find a parking spot and there it was on the corner of a residential Street. It looked just like an old corner store but I could see a Wood Fired Oven. Intriguing.

Déjà vu … Brika has opened a Hole in the Wall they’ve called Filos And Yiros. From this hatch they sell Greek Street Food like Spanakopita in Filo and Yiro sandwiches for lunch. The twist to their Yiros is the addition of hand-cut Chips.
