It’s all about the Sliders … Grill’d Claremont Quarter is opposite Lucioli. Just outside, in the laneway, near the Koko Black exit. It’s a lot cosier than many of their venues, but small and perfectly formed. It’s also decorated with their traditional industrial, trashy chic. They’ve added a funky mural to the entire back wall. Nice.

Lush Surroundings … From the Crown Metropol Hotel atrium you enter Neil Perry’s famous Rockpool Bar and Grill. Walking through a long, fairly dark, tunnel of glass panels which are illuminated with candle like electric lights. Hidden behind the glass panels are the wine and beef cellars to entertain you on your way through to the restaurant.

Hidden Away … Was walking around the Brookfield Place Enclave and discovered Grilld Brookfield Place hidden in the basement area. It’s famous neighbours include Bar Lafayette, the Trustee and Small Print, to name just a few.

Finally eating at The Merrywell … Xena has surprised me with the offer of breakfast out and we are quite excited about being here. We’re greeted with a happy hello and a friendly face, told to sit anywhere and to order our food at the bar.

Big Grill’d Fan … Walked into Grill’d Victoria Park and was greeted with shouted hellos from the staff. This is a great Grill’d thing and makes you feel at home from the start. We ordered sliders and chips and our meal came out quickly.

Burgers on the Beach … Stumbled across Grill’d Scarborough, didn’t even know Grill’d had a cafe there. Great location, right on the beach, with loads of parking around.

Super Sized … Was super impressed with the layout of this Grill’d Restaurant. It’s a very large venue decked out in the usual trashy industrial chic. Must say the décor hasn’t worn thin for me yet. I still like it and each Grill’d is just a bit different to the last one.

Such a shame … Had heard good things about Missy Moos Burger Bar and on walking into the venue was struck by the funky decor and service bar. Definitely child friendly as decorations included children’s artwork. So was feeling cheerful about our choice for lunch.
