The Fish and Then The Chips … Was persuaded to try Sweetlips Fish and Chips. I’d been there before and enjoyed it. But Xena insisted we try it again, apparently, it’s awesome now.
Service was a little lackadaisical. It seemed to take ages to order because staff were getting distracted. Eventually, order placed, we were given water, cutlery and napkins to take to our table.

Extremely Pleasant … After a bad dining experience at one the wineries we ventured into Yahava KoffeeWorks for coffee and dessert. It was a sweltering Perth day, it had reached 40C early in the day and it was still stifling at 2.00 in the afternoon. We welcomed the air conditioning as it hit us on entering the building. Ah. Nothing like air conditioning after sweltering for a few hours in the heat.

No Swans Here … Read an article about Ugly Duckling Wines and their association with the Bindoon Bakehaus. Seems the Winery supplies their Wines to the Bakehaus for their Pies. And, then the winery gets Pies with sauces made from their Wines. Think Chicken and Chardonnay Pies, Steak, Mushroom and Shiraz Pies. You get the picture. It’s a good arrangement.
