Windmills of Your Mind … Chinta means reflection or meditation. These words perfectly describe this venue as it contains a myriad of furniture, murals and even a fish pond. As well as nooks, crannies and gifts that will get your mind into thinking gear. It’s a truly lovely café and one I would go back to just to sit and ponder.

Flipping Awesome … We were at the Crimea Canteen and Xena disappeared for a while. She came back with a Crepe in a familiar signature Blue cone. Her secret mission had been to purchase a What The Flip! Crepe. A great idea as we often visit Crimea Canteen and hardly ever have room for dessert.

Platinum Anniversary … Congratulations Alfred’s Kitchen on turning 70 years old. This Burger Bar sits right on the railway line in Guildford. In the old days customers would crowd around the open fire to eat their burgers or to slurp their house made Pea and Ham Soup. But things have changed a little since then.

Simple Italian Fare … New lunch spot on Beaufort. Panini 854 make their Panini in house. They have baskets full of this chewy bread on display behind the counter. And, the menu on the wall lists a fair few varieties of fillings they will put together.
