Revisit … Hadn’t been to the Oxford Hotel for a while, so a group of us descended on the place. We opted to sit inside in the air conditioning, which proved a wise choice on a hot Perth day.

Plum Flower Rolls … Aisuru Sushi Northbridge is housed in a grand old building on William Street. They have renovated the inside to perfection. With a large bar where the Chefs can be seen making the sushi.

Waffles Extraordinare … 1982 Espresso is decked out in Art Deco. Sitting as it does in the same building as The Regal Theatre in Subiaco. As good an example of Art Deco as ever there was. To the point where the whole building was Heritage Listed in 2009. But I digress. Back to 1982 Espresso.

Candy Theatre … Roc Candy has been around a long time now. They’re located in Piccadilly Arcade, a lovely Art Deco Structure which was built in 1938.

Exploring Our History … Sundays are days where I like to take a drive. And end up somewhere like the Mundaring Weir Hotel. Not really for the food but to soak in the nostalgia of the area or the building we are visiting. Toodyay is a place that is ripe with old buildings and we visit often. They also have a nice café culture going on. York is another place steeped in history. But today it’s back to Mundaring. And, those wood fired pizzas.

Great venue … The Inglewood Hotel is certainly a good looking building. Sitting tall and proud on Beaufort Street with its front courtyard and dining area.
