West End Deli Cereal & Sandwich Bar, State Buildings, Corner St Georges Tce and Barrack Street, Perth CBD, Phone 0499 071 662.
Rise And Shine … So happy to finally get to West End Deli Cereal & Sandwich Bar. Tucked away in the basement of the Petition Building with Sue Lewis, Chocolatier, and The Honey Cake people.
The Local Northbridge, 197 Brisbane Street, Northbridge, Phone 0448 555 583.
You Spin Me Right Round … The Local was formerly Layup, which is a café I’m sure you all remember. The local has inherited the premises and décor wise it is clean, crisp and aesthetically pleasing.
Kinky Lizard Espresso Bar, 78a, 20 Royal Street, East Perth, Phone 9221 9133.
Hesitation Blues … I’ve tried to eat at Kinky Lizard at least four times. Can’t explain why it didn’t eventuate because what’s not to get excited about coffee, great grub, and walks along the Swan river afterwards.
Society Cafe @ the Mantra on Murray, 305 Murray Street, Perth CBD.
High Society … The Mantra on Murray Hotel holds 4 stars and sits between William and Queen Streets. Inside, the Society Bar & Café is small but elegant and they offer a buffet breakfast.
Circa Beaufort 676, 676 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley, Phone 9371 9971.
Something To Sing About … Circa Beaufort 676 is a restaurant I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. While this past week had me visit twice, once for coffee and cake and the other for a proper meal.
Restaurant il Mandolino, 311 Hay Street, East Perth, Phone 0450 097 177.
Memories, Oh, Memories … Of days when pancakes were all I wanted for breakfast. But I do know now they’re just a guilty pleasure and I found the temptation was just too great.
Scattered Brunches
Brunch is such a fabulous thing to do, especially for late risers. It’s time the tale were told of twelve of our favourites from the last few months, in alphabetical order.
Hampton & Maley, 59 Albany HIghway, Victoria Park.
A Talent To Amuse … Sadly, I missed out on Restaurant Amuse so when I heard about their new café Hampton & Maley off I went.
Twig & Sparrow Cafe, Unit 1, 7-9 Woodpecker Avenue, Willetton, Phone 9354 5148.
Pretty In Pink … Twig and Sparrow’s French toast showed up in my timeline and I decided to pay them a visit. Well, it was a pretty great looking plate of food.
