After the Fire … The Guildford Hotel reopened a few months ago now. The Hotel was destroyed by fire in 2008 and all that was left was the shell. Being Heritage Listed (1886) it was a long journey for the owners to reinvent this beloved Hotel.

Cacophony Central … It’s alarming when you first step through the door of Galangal Thai Cuisine in Mount Hawthorn. The acoustics, or lack of, means the place is high maintenance on the ear drums. But, like everything, after a while you stop noticing and just start enjoying the food, the service and the company you are keeping.

Adieu Giardini Cafe … And, hello Thai Spice on Oxford. Used to frequent Giardini Café quite a bit. In it’s heyday it was a vibrant place. Saying that, was very excited to see Thai Spice on Oxford arrive on the strip. Was even more excited when I found the Restaurant open for lunch on Saturday.
