My Local … Kiwi Fish and Chips have a small shop on Walter Road. They are really just take away but there is one table and some chairs inside. They take phone orders and it’s best to ring your order in. It’s a busy place and there are often people waiting outside on the pavement for their orders to cook.

Fabulous View … Clancy’s Fish Bar has a top spot right on the beach. The restaurant has floor to ceiling windows to make the most of that view. And, it is an absolute delight sitting and watching the rolling waves.

Speedy service … On reading the Urbanspoon reviews for this Fish and Chip Shop I was jumping in the car and heading out to try the food.

Not a fan … While living in Singapore I dined at Tony Roma’s a number of times and enjoyed the food. Mainly because sometimes I just needed to eat Western food. The biggest thing about living in Singapore is the varied cuisine and I loved the food a lot. My usual lunch was hawker food of some type. But you know, just sometimes, chips sound like the best thing you could ever eat.
