Un, deux, trois … And then there were three. Tommy Sugo, the ever popular modern, Italian, fast food Café has opened a new venue in Leederville.
Prices at Tommy Sugo Leederville are quite reasonable considering the quality of the food. Most plates of pasta sell for around $13.00 plus there’s a variety of different pastas and sauces to mix and match.
Xena opted for Gnocchi (no surprise there) with a Hot Chick sauce. Which was basically chickpeas, fresh zucchini and chilli in a Sugo sauce. Always one to opt for chilli if it’s available Xena wasn’t disappointed and her plate of food kind of evaporated.
For me it was the Pumpkin and Feta Ravioli coupled with the Pesto Sauce. So, this was a great dish, as the ravioli was nicely chewy. Plus the big flavours of the feta, pumpkin and pesto all complimented each other.
We also tried the coffee and Xena ended up drinking both cups, she loved it that much. A bit too milky for me but c’est la vie it went to a good home.
Great venue with a little laneway of seating down one side and a few tables on Oxford Street in the Northern end of the strip.
All in all a good weekday lunch and good value for money.
Oh, and the food is definitely better than I remember from our first visit to the Nedlands Kiosk.
