Pinchos, 749 Newcastle Street, Leederville WA 6007, Phone 9228 3008.
Small plates of delicious food to share … Have been to Pinchos a number of times now and really like anywhere that has share plates as good as these are.
V Burger Bar Floreat Forum, Shop 81/5 Howtree Place, Floreat WA 6014, Phone: 6161 0322.
Refreshingly Different … Decided to try a different burger chain. And, seeing the good reviews we settled on V Burger Bar at Floreat Forum. The place is well decorated, with the decor being very much to my taste. The staff were efficient and very friendly.
Choux Cafe Patisserie Francaise, 93 Shenton Rd, Swanbourne WA 6010, Phone 9385 4227.
Elusive Eclairs … A friend mentioned that I had to go to Choux Café Patisserie Francaise for their éclairs. So off we went to Swanbourne but sadly, they were already sold out by the time we got there. The waitperson explained that Tuesday mornings were a good time to snag an éclair.
Engine Room Espresso, 450C Fitzgerald St, North Perth WA 6006, Phone 0420 703 419.
Delightful … Engine Room is a small and cosy café opposite the Rosemount Hotel on Fitzgerald Street. The décor is part industrial, part trashy chic. Decor includes distressed cement floors, exposed ceilings and eclectic furniture. There is a tiny but swish outdoor courtyard.
Crown Metropol Lobby Lounge, Great Eastern Hwy, Burswood WA 6100, Phone 9362 7551.
High Tea … When we were being highfalutin and dining at Rockpool this week we noticed that the Crown Metropol Lobby Lounge had started serving high tea. We booked, which is mandatory apparently, and went along with high expectations.
Benedetto Bakery, 765 Marshall Road, Malaga WA 6090, Phone 9249 9670.
Authentic Italian bread, pizza and more … Used to frequent Benedetto Bakery when it was in Victoria Road. But I had forgotten about it when I moved from the area. Reading a recent review about their bread led me to find them again.
Food For Me, 877 Albany Highway, East Victoria Park WA 6101, Phone 9472 0333.
Foodie haven … Having walked past Food For Me quite a few times I decided it was time to try their wares. There was a bit of an ulterior motive because we were hunting caramel slices. Having already lucked out at two other cafes this was our last attempt.
The Garden, Leederville Hotel, 742 Newcastle Street, Leederville WA 6007, Phone 9202 8282.
Great Ambience … Was dragged along with Xena on a visit to The Garden in Leederville. This lovely restaurant is part of the Leederville Hotel. And, is housed in a seriously revamped old building.
