The Re Store Northbridge, 72 Lake Street, Northbridge Wa 6003, Phone 9328 1877.
Italian Chocolates … Unlike it’s sister store in Leederville, the Re Store Northbridge does not sell wine or spirits. But it has a very attractive outdoor dining area, right on Lake Street. Where they fit right in with the other cafes on the strip.
Charlies Fresh Food Market, 497 Walter Road East, Morley WA 6062, Phone 9279 1470.
Spinach and Ricotta Lasagne … Charlies Fresh Food Market in Morley has been around since 1964. It has undergone a couple of name changes and one building change since then. But, at heart, it’s still that same corner deli.
Missy Moos Burger Bar, Shop 24, The Mezz, 148 Scarborough Beach Road, Mount Hawthorn WA 6016, Phone 9444 8590.
Such a shame … Had heard good things about Missy Moos Burger Bar and on walking into the venue was struck by the funky decor and service bar. Definitely child friendly as decorations included children’s artwork. So was feeling cheerful about our choice for lunch.
Aisuru Sushi Northbridge, 208 William Street, Northbridge WA 6003, Phone 9328 8578.
Plum Flower Rolls … Aisuru Sushi Northbridge is housed in a grand old building on William Street. They have renovated the inside to perfection. With a large bar where the Chefs can be seen making the sushi.
2nd Ave IGA, 2nd Avenue and Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley Wa 6050, Phone 9272 2900.
Gourmet Take Home Food … Walked into 2nd Ave IGA and was blown away by the presentation of the fresh food stacked in neat rows by the front door. All the fruit and vegetables looked kind of perfect, not many blemishes to be seen amongst this lot.
Waffles Extraordinare … 1982 Espresso is decked out in Art Deco. Sitting as it does in the same building as The Regal Theatre in Subiaco. As good an example of Art Deco as ever there was. To the point where the whole building was Heritage Listed in 2009. But I digress. Back to 1982 Espresso.
Empanadas … One of my favourite Street Food vendors is Marcelitas Empanadas. They hand roll their Colombian treats with the help of their talented team and it’s fun to watch, take a look here. The team works like a well oiled machine as the empanadas are rolled, filled and fried.
Village Bar, 10-531 Hay Street, Subiaco WA 6008, Phone 9381 5099.
Small plates of Delicious Food … Went to the Village Bar by accident really as it was raining heavily and we were hungry. The staff were friendly and laughed when we came in, as we looked like drowned rats.
