They Who Are My Army … Piccolo’s Corner is a family run Café in West Leederville. A few generations run the business from Grandfather through to Grandchildren.
The cafe sits in an old cottage which has been styled to suit the Era. A bonus large al fresco area is very pleasant. And there’s an area at the front to tether your dogs, plus outdoor stools to keep them company.
This Café sits in the middle of the suburb, there is no café strip and it is populated by their neighbours. Oh, and tourists like myself.
Because the café is tiny I definitely had to have a tiny coffee and ordered a Short Mac. My cup of java was picture perfect, well engineered and tasted fabulous.
Ordered both a miniature chocolate cupcake and a jelly donut and they were so cute it was a shame to eat them. But they were just too fabulous to ignore.
So, the cupcake had what looked like an icing swirl but turned out to be meringue which was a nice surprise. It’s going to be tempting to return for these treats as they were delicious.
