Bring on those flavours … Tried Chicho Gelato’s Chocolate and Salted Caramel gelato at the Twilight Hawkers Market. It was very memorable with great fresh tastes and no flavourings, preservatives or colourings, just all natural ingredients.

And let me say they produce some very interesting taste combinations. Think fresh Mint Chocolate Brownie or Cinnamon with Mulled Wine Poached Pear. Perhaps Lavender and Honeycomb is more to your taste? We haven’t managed to try them all but have eaten our way through a few tasty flavours.

So, these guys are constantly coming up with new ideas to wow their customers. For example, for one night only they had gelato burgers. Chilli glazed donuts filled with their green tea gelato. Imagine eating one of those, amazing. Service is always with a smile and a chat, queues for gelato permitting.
Interestingly, the owners of the business graduated from Gelato University just 3 years ago. It seems there is a speciality University near Bologna in Italy. And, now their hard work is paying off.
Not sure if I emphasised enough that this gelato is hand made from scratch. And, they only use seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
I also spied a familiar gelato cart in a music video for popular Perth band San Cisco. A band with good taste in gelato it seems.

Interestingly, the next phase of their journey will begin in 2016 with the opening of their Gelateria in Northbridge. They will still be pushing their cart around various Food Markets and Corporate Events. But you will be able to purchase their gelato any time you happen to be in Northbridge. An exciting development and we wish them buona fortuna.
