Revisit … Hadn’t been to the Oxford Hotel for a while, so a group of us descended on the place. We opted to sit inside in the air conditioning, which proved a wise choice on a hot Perth day.
Our server was very friendly and attentive. Menus and Water arrived almost immediately, closely followed by the drinks, even the cocktails. The food took a little longer but we were enjoying catching up so it wasn’t a bother.
The Hotel itself was built in 1906 and has been Heritage Listed. And, even though it has been refurbished the interior still has the original polished wooden floors and exposed beams. The Oxford Hotel is very comfortable and spacious. The Bar area and the Al Fresco are both beautifully refurbished.
There are two al fresco eating areas. One fronting on to Oxford Street, with a prominent water feature. The other fronting on to Anzac Road which is a lot smaller but still quite pleasant.
Ordered Barramundi, chips and salad and it was a huge serving. There were two large pieces of fish, a large salad and crunchy chips. The fish was delish, firm, chunky white fillets. Xena ordered the same thing and somehow we managed to finish.
Great meal, nice environment and good service. Kudos.
