One Way Or Another … Woke up this morning and decided I needed to eat Fish and Chips. Not my usual first thoughts of the day.
Mt Hawthorn Fish N Chips always looks inviting when I walk by and they were definitely on my list of places to visit. So, off I went.
Fish and Chips are quite an old fashioned idea these days but it doesn’t seem to stop people from lining up to purchase a parcel full. Everything in moderation is my motto.
Joining the queue, I ordered the Red Emperor with chips and the serving was enormous. Enough for a couple of people I would suggest plus the food was nicely seasoned with vinegar and quality salt. Yum.
The chips were crunchy and the fish was thick and white and it was easy to see and taste that this was quality produce.
So, the venue is small but it’s very presentable, clean, with bench seats inside and outdoor seating as well.
The Mezz has a lovely Al Fresco area which all cafes share for seating.
One of the few Fish and Chip shops open for lunch.
