Chance Meeting … Café Bella Rosa is Carlisle’s hidden gem. And, for me, stumbling across this venue was genuine good fortune. Hopefully, not the only good luck of 2018.
In case you haven’t guessed, Café Bella Rosa offer up Italian food and that includes both pasta and pizza. Oh, and some incredible looking desserts.
The place is bigger than it looks from the Street and crowded with people eating large plates of food, plus, everything smelled so good.
The short Macchiato was absolutely beautiful, in fact it was so nice I drank it in three gulps and spooned up the Crema. Yum.
Having been in Japan for the last two weeks, I was quite happy to sit down to a plate of Gnocchi Napoletana sprinkled with Parmigiana.
And, let me tell you the food was bliss, perfect tomato and herb sauce generously covering the soft hand made Gnocchi. Such a great plate of food and at $20.00 good value for money.
The staff were friendly and quite happy to chat. While I loved that the venue is open from early morning til around 10.00pm and it is definitely worth the drive for this charming fare.
Travel has taught me that trying some place different to eat is quite often the way to the best food. For example, the best Mexican food I’ve had to date was in Osaka, Japan.
