Brika Meze Bar – Greek Restaurant

Standard

Brika, 3 / 177 Stirling Street, Perth, Phone 0455 321 321.

A little Slice Of Greece … Brika is a Greek Bar and Restaurant. In fact they are the first Meze Bar to open in Perth. Meze is the Greek version of Tapas and the White Washed walls and exposed timber rafters make you feel you could be in Santorini.

I’m a big fan of Brika’s hole in the wall take away Filos & Yiros so I was happy to go along and try their small plates and to sit inside.

Ordered the Hummus with Pita Bread and was very happy with the dish. The Pita had been grilled then splashed with EVOO and a smattering of herbs. The flavours were a little different to other Hummus I’ve tried as it was a bit milder with no Tahini after taste. Lovely though.

Also ordered a small plate of Fremantle Sardines which came with Charred Bread. Another surprise as the two paired together very well and it was a delicious plate of food.

The only fizz on the menu by the glass was a Segura Viudas Cava but at $8 it was a bargain and a definite winner for me. Odd that they didn’t have a Greek version.

My visit was on the weekend and none of the staff looked familiar and seemed to be distracted. Usually the service is great, so it was probably just a bad day.
