Unbelievable … Gargano has been open for 22 years. The name might have changed over that time but it’s been run by the same people. The exciting news is that the venue and menu have been revamped.
The place has a large bar which dominates the main room, plus a wine cellar, veranda seating and a couple of extra rooms for dining.
I love that the corrugated iron and wood were salvaged from a demolished Barn. These now form an integral part of the veranda and bar and it looks fabulous.
So, food wise the menu pricing is very affordable. I ordered the Linguine Con Crostacei, or pasta with shellfish, at a cost of $15.50 which is such great value for money.
So, the plate presented well, as the pasta was generously covered with a marinara sauce. Plus a small bowl of chilli arrived as well and it seems when mixed with the sauce things heat up. Delish.
And, those aromas were pretty tantalising but the taste can’t be ignore as it was perfect, no seriously, this was my absolute favourite meal of the week.
So, I think it’s safe to say I enjoyed my visit.
And, just a word about the private function room as it has it’s own access from the Highway making it wheelchair friendly. Plus there is a bar and a bathroom for use only by the attendees.
