Pretty In Pink … Twig and Sparrow’s French toast showed up in my timeline and I decided to pay them a visit. Well, it was a pretty great looking plate of food.
They’re a little off my usual beaten track being in Willetton but it was worth the drive. Plus bonus river views on the way.
The place was bustling, for a weekday, with brunch diners obviously enjoying their choices.
So, I ordered the pretty French toast and when it was placed in front of me I just smiled. Someone with an eye for detail put a lot of thought into the plating and the colour scheme. Beautiful.

The toast in question this time was Japanese milk bread which I have to admit I’d never heard of but is touted as the softest white bread ever.
Funnily enough the egg bathed bread was chewy, in the nicest possible way, and the texture appealed to me immensely.
Then we get to the embellishments of lemon curd, raspberry parfait, blackberries and sherbet. Oh, and a little jar of maple syrup.
I loaded up a forkful of all ingredients and was blown away with this not overly sweet but delectable food. The flavours were precise and heavenly. And, whoever thought of sprinkling sherbet about is a genius.
My short macchiato was very memorable as well, super strong and the coffee art was just right.
So, I enjoyed my visit immensely what with great service, high-quality food and lovely atmosphere how could you not.
