Hibernian Place @ The Westin Hotel, 480 Hay Street, East Perth, Phone 9261 1871.
Just A Little Bit … The fairly new Westin Hotel is gorgeous with a leafy Singaporean feel to the place. And, some very relaxing water features to boot.
Walking past the windows for the breakfast buffet was a temptation in itself. Sourdough baguettes, a small but perfectly formed patisserie section and those croissants looked amazing.
But today, I was here to browse at Arthur & Co, prime central coffee joint at the big H. And, let me tell you, my coffee was on point, with both the temperature and strength of the java. Only losing a little point or two for weird coffee art but, saying that, this was just my sort of caffeine fix.
Not feeling hungry enough for brunch, I decided that a small orange and almond cookie and a petite carrot cake were the way forward for me.
Excellent cookie with a moist centre and a crunchy outer layer only surpassed by the extremely moist cupcake with a very enjoyable cream cheese icing. Yum.
Staff were pleasant, the food was good and the atmosphere was, as I’ve mentioned, leafy, Singaporean relaxation with not a Sling in sight, more’s the pity.
Next time I visit, that Buffet has my name on it as I’m a little bit in love with the Westin and need to try that fresh baked bread.
A grand new addition to the East End of the Perth CBD.
