Sayers Little Brother, 25 Gladstone Street, Perth.
It’s A Nice Day To Start Again … We all know the name Sayers and associate it with delicious and healthy food. Well, there’s a new kid in town and it’s Sayers Little Brother.
Settled into the premises formerly housing Dr Clause, the youngest Sayers sibling looks like they have been there for years. No teething problems that I could pick anyway.
The décor is roughly the same but there are now bottles of wine adorning the shelves and a food display case to put others to shame. It’s a good menu with options to entice you to come back.
Xena opted for the spinach and feta scrambled eggs with sourdough toast. Large is a word I would use to describe this plate of food and aromatic as the aromas were delectable. Those eggs were delicately cooked and just about perfect when rounded off with the cheese and herbs.
I stepped outside of my comfort zone and ordered the pumpkin pancakes which came with a healthy serving of roasted pumpkin and two large, thick pancakes. The dish was smothered with avocado, pepitas and some lush EVOO.
Situated near Claisebrook Train Station this small venue is worth a visit. Needless to say that their reputation precedes them.
So, it was great to see the parmesan and leek croquettes still on the menu.
