Never Stop Living Here … Chinta Café has a welcoming feel to it and the decorations are amazing. And, now that they’ve moved into the High Tea area the atmosphere seems to be on steroids.

Purple Haze … Lavender Bistro sits in a bush setting behind the Margaret River Chocolate Company. The smell of lavender as you walk in the door is very appealing, as is the clean, streamlined venue.

The Magic Garden … Chapels on Whatley sits in the midst of a Tardis like terrace garden. And, it’s exquisite, with a Koi pond, brightly coloured parasols and authentic Chinese furniture.

High Tea … When we were being highfalutin and dining at Rockpool this week we noticed that the Crown Metropol Lobby Lounge had started serving high tea. We booked, which is mandatory apparently, and went along with high expectations.

High tea … A family gathering at the Terrace Hotel for their famous high tea was perfect for a sunny Sunday afternoon. The hotel is gorgeous, built in 1892 and formerly called Bishop’s Grove, then St George House. The hotel is dwarfed by the office towers around it but it warmed my heart to know it’s still there, Perth has lost so many great buildings. They have 15 guest rooms and suites, as well as the restaurant and bar.

Great Coffee … Finally dropped in to Bellisa Cafe to try their coffee and was greeted by a friendly staff member who asked if we were there to dine or just for drinks. We were there for coffee and were quickly shown to a table.

High Quality High Tea … Love the décor in the Firewater Grille at the Duxton Hotel. It’s very modern and streamlined with lots of windows instead of walls. It’s light and airy and a good place to sit and eat some delicious food.
