Satay On Charcoal, 18 Mends Street, South Perth, Phone 0403 929 257.
Moving In Stereo … Satay On Charcoal feel like old friends. The first time I tried their Satay was at the Maylands Hawkers Market @ The Rise quite a few years ago.
T Sisters Fresh Foods, Location Varies, Perth, Western Australia.
Steamy and Fresh … The T Sisters are actually three sisters who, together with Mama Hawker, create fabulous fresh food in their Market Stall.
Twilight Hawkers Market, Forrest Place, Perth WA 6000 – Friday Nights 4.30pm to 9.30pm – October 2015 through April 2016 Season.
Foodie Nirvana … The Twilight Hawkers Market in the City was the first market to catch my attention. I remember thinking that this was a huge thing. A collection of Food Trucks, Vans and Market Stalls all selling Street Food. Had I died and reached Nirvana? Well, not quite but almost.
Monte’s Grill, Markets on Rokeby, Rokeby Road, Subiaco WA 6008,
Markets on Rokeby … Really like the Markets on Rokeby but todays jaunt saw half the stalls of last time we visited. Not sure what to make of that. But we were there for the food and set out to see what we could find. And, what a find we found.
2 Fat Indians Market Stall, Location Varies, Phone 9228 0720.
Market stall … I’m well acquainted with the 2 Fat Indians Restaurant in Highgate and am a fan of their food. So we were pleasantly surprised to see a 2 Fat Indians Market Stall in the City recently. The Twilight Hawkers Market holds many surprises.
Rancho Latino, Location Varies, Phone 0411 319 639.
Pupusas … The lovely ladies who run the Rancho Latino Market Stall make the most delicious Pupusas. I always join the queue for a plateful. It’s also mesmerising to watch them being made because of the skill needed to create these treats.
El Asador Argentinean Grill, Location Varies, Phone 0400 556 395.
Great food … El Asador can usually be found at the Twilight Hawkers Market in Perth. This Market Stall is quite possibly the first thing you can smell as you approach Forrest Place on a Friday Night. There is something about that BBQ’d meat aroma that draws a crowd.
