Scattered Brunches
Brunch is such a fabulous thing to do, especially for late risers. It’s time the tale were told of twelve of our favourites from the last few months, in alphabetical order.
1. Blake Street Merchant, North Perth
A luscious meal of black honey roasted pumpkin, hash cakes, poached eggs and crispy kale. A delightful plate of food. review
2. Fika On Brix, Beckenham
Imagine freshly made Bao filled with tender chicken katsu and sriracha mayo slaw, this was a memorable brunch. review
3. Gusto Food, South Perth
Gusto food’s crumpets are infamous and healthy with fresh fruit, house made crumpets, greek yoghurt and peanut gravel. Loved this meal. review
4. Hampton & Maley, Victoria Park
From the people who brought us Restaurant Amuse there’s a new brunch spot in Victoria Park. Knocked my socks off with their Chicken Liver Parfait and pickled vegetables. review
5. La Veen, Perth CBD
Enjoyed both a coffee tasting barista special and an enormous bagel with strawberry cream cheese and pistachios. Bliss. review
6. My Vicino, Wembley
An Italian influenced menu had me sit down to a plate of ratatouille on fabulous sourdough and topped with an egg. Lovely food. review
7. Nic & Kolo, Applecross
Specialising in Barista coffee this lovely cafe make a mac and cheese eggs Benedict. No, really, it was sensational. review
8. Perth City Farm, East Perth
This venue is amazing, a real farm in the middle of the City and a perfect farm breakfast of fresh mushrooms, eggs and sourdough bread. review
9. Pizzaca, Scarborough
When I read they were doing a tasting plate for brunch I was soon driving to Scarborough. Mini pancakes, egg Benedict, granola trifle, potato cake with bacon. review
10. Twig & Sparrow, Willetton
The most fabulous looking french toast I’ve ever seen and it tasted just as good as it looked. Loved everything about this venue and the food. review
11. Urbana, Leederville
The sister cafe to El Publico in Mt Lawley offers some great Mexican and Australian Food. My plate of Chilaquiles Rojos with queso, crema and huevos. Or, fried tortillas in tomato salsa with cheese, sour cream and eggs. review
12. Wharf On The Point, East Perth
So, perfect scrambled eggs which were creamy and delicious with a couple of mini hash brown and avocado burgers. And, lovely river views, what more do you need. review
