Sweets For My Sweet (Tooth) … Sweet Remedy Café has been around for quite a while now and was amongst the first dessert cafes to surface. In 2012 they started out with product baked in their home kitchen. They’ve come a long way in the time in between.

Middle Class Indecision … For some reason coffee and cake hold a huge attraction for me these days. Not to distract from the savoury but Perth is like a huge bowl full of delicious cakes and other sweeties.

And, You’ll Sing Vita Bella … I had a sense of purpose the moment I laid eyes on the breakfast buffet at the Westin. When I finally worked out that the venue was Guy Grossi’s Garum, I was over the moon.

Just A Little Bit … The fairly new Westin Hotel is gorgeous with a leafy Singaporean feel to the place. And, some very relaxing water features to boot.

Coffee For The People … Queen of Leeds has taken over the space formerly occupied by Nood Cafe. Taking great care to ensure the people have the most splendid coffee available.

More Rolls than a Pastry Truck … Baker Et Chef or Baker and Chef opened quietly on the Eastern end of Mill Point Road. It is a formidable looking building with grey overtones but the age of the premises add to the overall charm and feel.

Reasons To Be Cheerful … Number one would have to be coffee, closely followed by Cake. And, there are some pretty great pairing combinations to be found around Perth.

Rock The Casbah … Finally made it to Boucla in Subiaco. This venue offers traditional Middle Eastern, Greek and Mediterranean food all housed in a colourful and creatively styled Café.

High Society … The Mantra on Murray Hotel holds 4 stars and sits between William and Queen Streets. Inside, the Society Bar & Café is small but elegant and they offer a buffet breakfast.

Something To Sing About … Circa Beaufort 676 is a restaurant I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. While this past week had me visit twice, once for coffee and cake and the other for a proper meal.
